When receiving a Chromebook, students can pay an annual Chromebook Self-Insurance fee of $15.

Examples of out of pocket repair costs with no self-insurance coverage:

Most major Chromebook damage is non-repairable, or repair costs would equal or exceed the vaule of the device. For example repairing a cracked Chromebook screen would cost between $200-$250 and the cost of a new Chromebooks is approximately $200-$250. Most individual internal components of Chromebook are non-replaceable and would require replacement of all components at a cost equal to the value of the device.
