Chromebook Self-Insurance

When receiving a Chromebook, students can pay an annual Chromebook Self-Insurance fee of $15.

Examples of out of pocket repair costs with no self-insurance coverage:

Many types of Chromebook damage is non-repairable, or repair costs can exceed the value of the device. Repairing a cracked Chromebook screen could cost between $150-$200, device frame damage or keyboard damage $75-$150. Most individual internal components of Chromebook are non-replaceable and would require replacement of all components at a cost equal to the value of the device.
