Chromebook Program
School Chromebook Overview
At the beginning of each year all LMS students are issued a Chromebook by the Londonderry School District.
Students:
Receive the Chromebook as a loan from the school during the school year. They are required to turn them in at the close of the school year.
Use the Chromebook each day during classes, bringing it home at the end of the day.
Bring the Chromebook to school every day fully charged.
Are expected to be responsible when using it & to report Chromebook issues or damage right away to the Library Media Center located in the lower 8th Grade Hallway.
School Chomebooks:
Are serviced by Technology Staff at the school's IT Department at the Middle School.
Connect to a primary Wi-Fi school network & to school resources, such as printers.
Are set up to participate in digital SATs, PSATs, & State Assessment testing.
Receive necessary software and updates over the network & Internet from the School District's Cloud.
Include an anti-virus program & software that blocks school-inappropriate websites.
Londonderry Middle School Chromebook Distribution
Chromebooks will be issued to students during the first day of school each fall. Returning Middle School students will generally be given the same Chromebook they used the year before. Incoming 6th grade students will be given a new Chromebook.
Chromebook digital registration forms will be emailed to all student's primary contact in Aspen each August. The forms must be completed by the student and parents before the start of the school year.
Requirements for Chromebooks
Before receiving a Chromebooks, all students must meet the following requirements:
Digital Chromebook Forms must be completed and signed by both parent and student.
An annual Chromebook Insurance Fee of $15 must be paid using one of the three options listed below:

The Linq Connect Payment Center is also used for your student's lunch program. You do not need to create another account if you already use Linq Connect for the lunch program.
Linq Connect Instructions
Access the Linq Connect Payment Center online: https://linqconnect.com/main
Sign in using your current account information. If you do not have an account with the Linq Connect, sign up for an account by clicking the "Register" button and following the on-screen instructions. Click Here for more information.
Once logged in with an account, navigate to school fees under the ‘Parent Functions’ menu.
Click the arrow to expand the ‘Available Fees’ option. The Chromebook fee should be listed under Technology Fees.
After finding the appropriate fee for your student, click on the "Add to Cart" button.
For parents with more than one child, select the appropriate student’s account when adding the laptop fee to the Cart.
Once all fees have been added, click on the shopping cart at the top right and proceed to check out.
Note: If the fee is not listed, report this issue to the Library Media Center in the 8th Grade Hallway during regular school hours. Please allow time for the district's business office to be contacted and the fee to be posted to your account prior to laptop pickup.
Chromebook Fee Waiver Form
A laptop Fee Waiver form (titled Sharing Information with Other Programs) is available for families eligible for the USDA's Free/Reduced Meals program.
An approved Fee Waiver form may be submitted in lieu of paying the $15 Chromebook Insurance fee.
Steps to take:
Visit the school district's Dining Department's webpage for the USDA's Program application: https://www.londonderry.org/departments/dining
Or, contact the Director of Dining Services at the high school's Dining Services Office, (603) 432-6941, x2230, email: diningservices@londonderry.org
Complete and submit the USDA's application form according to the instructions.
Complete the Fee Waiver form (select Yes on the form) and return it to the Director of Dining Services at the high school's Dining Services Office for approval.
Once eligibility is determined, the Director will initial the Fee Waiver form as approved or not approved.
